Alibi No More With Background Check

August 21st, 2008

“When there is a will there is a way”, a tag line that we usually say when someone is trying to escape doing something, making some alibis just to keep them away in identifying their true identity.

But this could be prevented and no one has ever run away with the results of background checks. So even if you are an expert in saying some alibis and lies, you can not hide everything in a background check. This is usually useful for a lot of companies who hire employees.

Usually an applicant should undergo a different process in applying for a job. It does not end in passing the exams and interviews, it does require total evaluation before an applicant is being hired in a company. For some companies, they do a thorough evaluation on their applicants, so no matter how they try to hide bad records under their name they can get rid of a thorough evaluation of a background check.

In conducting background checks, usually information like names, address and Social Security Number are some of the data needed in conducting background check. With a bunch of information that was gathered together in a single data base, information needed to evaluate an applicant is easy. Just be careful on those web sites that you will try to do the search. It is much better to conduct background checks on those sites that requires minimal fee.

Conducting background check online can give you a lot of convenience, aside from saving time and money, you can have reliable information needed in evaluating an applicant.

What Should You Do If You Misplaced a Traffic Ticket That You Received in Broward County?

August 20th, 2008

If you received a traffic ticket in Broward County, and you cannot find it don’t just forget about it. If you wait too long you will get a letter in the mail from the DMV stating that your driver’s license will be suspended. By that time late fees may have already been assessed, and you may have lost some of your options.

So what do you do if you lost your ticket? Don’t worry. You can go to the Clerk of the Courts, 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida, Broward County’s website.

Once online you can search for your lost traffic ticket by citation number, or name. If you are searching by name and your ticket is not coming up it may be because of how your name was entered into the system. For example, if your name is Juan Carlos Gonzalez Perez, You may want to try entering your last name as: Gonzalez, Perez, Gonzalez Perez, or GonzlezPerez, etc.

Once you find your record, verify that it is the right one by looking at the issue date and the charges, and then write down the case number. (The Broward County Clerk of the Courts prefers the case number to the citation number.) You will need this case number to reference payments by mail, elect traffic school, or enter a plea of not guilty.

If you cannot find your ticket online, don’t give up. Sometimes it takes a while for the ticket to be entered into the system. If you are getting close to the end of the thirty-day period after issuance, you should visit the Courthouse in person.

Totally Honest Info About That Free Background Check!

August 14th, 2008

Okay, finally, the skinny on what a free background check really is and if it’s even a reality. This is an article that you want to continue reading!

So, what is a background search that is claimed to be free anyway?

First things first; if you’ve been around the internet for a few years you’ve come to realize that nothing is truly free. You look for “free” home businesses; “free” credit checks; “free” makeup; “free” services and the list goes on and on and on. Very quickly you notice a pattern. Saying something is free does not necessarily mean it is really free. And the same goes with searches into people’s backgrounds.

Basically, a free background check is when you can find all of the information that you need on someone without paying for it. That type of information should include:

• Criminal record
• Employment record
• DUI’s and other motor vehicle information
• Credit report
• Sex offense crime record
• Address
• Much more information that might interest you

Some will tell you that you can find the above information by entering the person’s name into the browser of the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Msn, AOL, Ask Jeeves and many, many others. Does that yield any results at all? It all depends.

If you are looking for the above information and you want to do a free background check, then it’s worth a try. But experience has shown that unless you know the person’s place of employment, their social security number and unless they have a very unique, you will get nowhere very quickly. But hey, it’s worth a try. It’s free, remember?

But what about background check companies? Is that untrue also?

Definitely not! It is very worth your time to check out online background check companies. Many of them are legitimate and will deliver fast results in the areas that you need them. They will provide you with a very easy way to settle your mind and get you information that can’t be gotten any other way. When you’ve given up on your free background check, this is the way to go.

Are all background check companies created equal?

Absolutely not! As with anything else, there are good background check companies and bad background check companies. Look for reviews online as well as comparing pricing and if they guarantee their searches. Another great way to discover an honest company is through referrals from online or real life friends who have used that particular company in the past.

Over the past few years, we’ve discovered that there is one company that is very honest with tons of credibility. They are also the only company endorsed by major U.S. corporations such as: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and many others. That should give you some sense of security in who they are.

So what is the bottom line? A totally free background check just doesn’t exist. But there is an option that is inexpensive and will give you all of the information you need in a matter of minutes!

Cops and Lying

August 12th, 2008

It is fascinating to me that a cop would ever consider lying about a case. Granted, there is not a lot of information in this posting that lets us know what the lie was, but as a former prosecutor for the Travis County Attorney’s Office, I understand that it must have been quite a substantive lie or misrepresentation for the DAs office to VOLUNTARILY OFFER to vacate the conviction. Normally, a criminal defense attorney would be the one moving to have a conviction vacated, NOT the DA!
